WALKS AROUND THE VILLAGE

"Cléron - Castel Saint Denis - Cléron" Loop
This circuit begins by crossing the village.
You can admire the magnificent castel of Cléron of the XIVth
century, whose towers are reflected in the mirror of the Loue, while
strolling around the garden.
You will then come across the XVIIIth
century wash houses, Saint Siméon church and a XVIth century religious
monument. You reach the Belvédère du Cingle by a Cingle country lane,
followed by a former tilt hammer of the Grillet mill and at the Grillet-Grognard
space, to the "no kill" fly fishing course. You will discover the
Boillon mill, the Pater Farm and the Castel Saint Denis, an extraordinary
relic of the middle ages, and then at the top, as a reward for all your
effort, you will have an unforgettable view over the Loue valley,
and the Valbois ravine.
You will then cross the Curasson forest
and arrive at the botanic path, which runs alongside the cliffs
of the Valbois Ravine and its belvedere. The 4km path will help
you to initiate yourself with the knowledge of the cliff's flora. Access

visits with commentary). On the way back, you will "la Pierre qui
vire", a very peculiar monolithic block, due to its shape and location,
rooted in the ground, next to the River Loue and the communal Pater
path to ClZron.
This walk is full of legends,
the changing Stone, the Valley aerial hunter, Amados and the legend
of Val d'Amour, the Varais Boar, the Pearl necklace, the treasure on
the sides of the Croz...

Tacot Loop
This footpath goes down the former
railway track, amongst surprising landscape, with many different view
points. You will discover the 2 viaducts in Cléron, different views
of the village and its castel, of the Loue river, the Loue
Valley, the remote Norveaux stream... From 1910 to 1953, the
train travelled through our countryside, which enabled the countryside
to be discovered.

Rocher du moine Path
This footpath will lead you to the mountain
where you will enjoy a superb view of the village, the castel and the
Loue valley. Then via an archway of trees and sometimes a plantation
of fir trees, you will sapins, you will arrive at the remoteness
of Norvaux, where you will dominate, this gigantic monolithe
which looks like a monk's cape, the object of tales and legends since
celtic times.
Local visit
Tacot Museum, which retraces the
captivating story of a small train that toiled from village to village
at the beginning of the last century.
